Project: My Sister The Star

image1 [420104]Hello Beauties

If you follow me on twitter you may already know about the ‘My Sister The Star’ project, however, here is a little more detail about the project.

Over the past month I have been thinking about my experience and how I could explain to any future children that they had a big sister who we loved but tragically lost. It is so important to me that Ella Rose is remembered and plays a big part in our future children’s lives.

I realised to explain this to a young child could cause confusion – and even fear – so I came across the idea of creating a children’s book which would gently explain the loss of an expected child and sibling. The book would approach the subject with sensitivity, with words and a narrative a young child would understand. Initially this was going to be a personal project for myself until a friend pointed out that my feelings would be felt by many others also.  I then decided to produce the book to share with the public. I hope this book will support other parents who want to explain to their children the painful loss of a family member through a stillbirth. (more…)

Baby Ella Rose and The Willow Room Fund

Hi Lovelies,

Those of you that follow me on Twitter will know that 4 weeks ago my beautiful daughter Ella Rose was stillborn.

As I am sure all of you can understand this was absolutely devastating for myself and Pete especially following our miscarriage last June.

Ella was due on the 22nd of July but devastatingly had no heartbeat on 24th of July when we were due to have an induction.

We were admitted to be put into labour on 26th and she was finally born at 7.14am on 27th of July weighing 5 pounds 9 ounces with a mass of jet black hair. Our sleeping angel was the most beautiful and precious thing we have ever seen and we are so proud to be her parents.

Exciting News…

Hey Dolls,

Yes that’s right I’m pregnant, 13 weeks to be exact. So, I obviously don’t need to explain why I’ve been missing.

I’ve been quite poorly and lost interest in everything including the blog. I know i say it all the time but, now that I’m feeling better I hope to be back blogging more regularly as I have a ridiculous amount of products to review.

I hope you’ll continue to pop by my little blog and enjoy the content.

I love you all
