Kit Stars Brushes

When I went to IMATS back in May I was enticed into buying these beautiful Kit Stars brushes by my makeup artist friend Joyce. Kit Stars launched their brand at IMATS on the LoveMakeup stand and from what I can gather they went down a storm.

Kit Stars brushes come in both natural and synthetic bristles and all have a long perfectly weighted handle, the synthetic brushes are all vegan as well. The brand is tailored toward the professional in the first instance however, the price point means that they are available to all.

Individual brushes are priced from £6.00 and sets from £19.00 which in my opinion is a great price point for professional makeup brushes. I purchased one synthetic and the rest natural as some products just work that bit better with a natural haired brush.

I purchased the following brushes:

N1 Powder Brush – This brush is a big powder brush, its perfect for setting the face with translucent powder or using all types of pressed powders.

N2 Shaping Veil  – This is the perfect size for contour as it gets right into those hollows and as its tapered, it makes blending effortlessly. I would also use this brush for highlight.

N3 Blush Brush – This blush brush is not too large which means you can be super precise with depositing the colour.

N30 Small Tapered Blender – I use this for depositing colour to the crease and outer corners and then go in with its big brother N31 Tapered Blender to seamlessly blend out the shadow.

N32 Shader – This brush is my laydown brush, it packs on the colour thanks to the dense bristle design so if you are looking for intense lid colour this little guy is the brush for you and teamed with N30 and N31 you cant go wrong.

N33 Micro Pencil – hands down my favourite brush, it’s little but, so precise and because it has a tapered design its great for blending the lower lash colour out.

S41 Short Angle – This brush for me is a multi-tasker, I use it for a very fine line of colour on top and lower lashline as well as using it for my brows.

All of the large Kit Stars brushes come with a netted brush guard to keep the brush in shape whilst it’s not in use and to protect the brush from splaying with, the natural haired brushes are a mix of goat and synthetic bristles.

I can’t wait to try the rest of the Kit Stars Brushes and to see what else the brand have in store for us.
