With Christmas approaching fast I thought I would put together some fantastic winter skincare items that would be a welcome addition to any beauty lovers collection.
1. Panasonic 3-in-1 Micro-Foaming facial cleansing brush £149.99- I have been after an electronic facial cleansing brush for a while now as I find the manual face brushes don’t quite do the job. What I like about this brush in particular is the fact it has a smaller brush attachment to get to the pores and the skin around your nose, around my nose has always been my problem area. This brush also has a warming plate that you run over your face to aid with the removal of makeup which, sounds extremely interesting.
2. Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser from £15.50 – This is one of my holy grail products! I honestly get extremely unhappy when I have run out of this and don’t have a backup. I would say I have been using this product now for about 7 years following a PR package from the brand themselves. What I love about this product is that it not only cleanses your skin but it does add a degree of moisture too. This product is perfect for those of you with dry skin because of that extra moisture factor. I mostly use this with my facial cleansing brush removing any left over product with the muslin cloths. On Thursday I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with Astral Original and the Nexus PR team to learn more about the brand over lunch.

A few weeks ago the lovely people over at Sk:n sent me their popular Cleanser and Anti Ageing cream to review.
I had previously heard of the brand as there is a local Sk:n clinic in Brighton, However, I have never used their products or services prior to being sent the two products mentioned.
The brand have over 20 years experience in dealing with dermatological issues and work alongside the NHS and the British Skin Foundation. All of their clinic staff are medically trained so, when it comes to skin they really do know what they are talking about which made these products even more interesting.
As many of you know from previous skincare posts I suffer with eczema on my face predominantly around my nose and the corners of my lips so, I picked products specifically for dry skin. View Full Post
A little while ago I ran out of my St Ives and Dermalogica skin care and due to the lack of funds at that particular moment I needed to find myself some cheap bits. Unlike most people I have to keep with my routine because I have very dry skin and just one day without moisturiser causes my skin to get very flaky and sensitive.
I popped along to good old Superdrug
and picked up an Exfoliating Scrub, Moisturising Day Cream and some Skin Oil which all come from the Vitamin E range.
The scrub tided me over until I was able to get some more or my regular St Ives Apricot Scrub
. The scrub smells divine however there was just not enough exfoliating beads for me. I had major problems removing all of the dryness due to the lack of beads and found that because of that I was exfoliating far more than I would normally.
This cream is thick and luxurious and the smell again is amazing. This cream has now replaced my £14 tube of dermalogica because it really does do the job. The cream doesn’t cause my skin to flare up with eczema and that for me is a huge bonus.
I was a bit concerned with the oil because I didnt want to replace my dry skin with spots but I was happily suprised. I use this product at night around my nose and on my cheeks and anywhere else that happens to be dry and in the morning my skin feels as soft as a baby’s bum. I only use a few drops and thus far I havent had any issues with spots.
Over the years I have tried a lot of shop own brand products and this range so far has been the best. I plan on trying some of the other items from the range in the future.
