thepromakeupblog.com is owned and written by me. Any thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog are my own and will always be 100% honest, If I don’t like something you will know about it. The trust of my readers is important to so, below are the blogs Disclaimer and Copyright Information and how I run the blog.
If you have any further questions about this blog you pop me over an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This blog will often feature reviews of products and a lot of those products will have been sent to me by PR companies and brands for possible review. Just because a company sends me something to try, it is not guaranteed that I will actually feature it on my blog. I only feature products that I think are worth telling you about and I’ve taken the time to get to know. I will always let you know if an item has been sent to me for review and I will always give you my honest opinion on the product even if that opinion is a negative one.
Every now and then I will accept a sponsor opportunity on my blog. A sponsorship means I am being paid in return for a blog post and the company is compensating me for my time. I only agree to sponsored opportunities after I have tested the product or I have had previous experience of the product. I will from time to time include a sponsored link within a wishlist post if the product is something I would actually love to get my hands on. If a sponsored review is positive this is because I genuinely enjoy the product if I didnt I would tell you because sponsorship or not I will always provide you with honesty. A sponsored post is clearly marked with |Ad at the end of it and in the post it will say “this post was in collaboration with xxxx”
If there is a link marked with an asterisk (*) then it is an affiliate link. This means I get a percentage of any sales made through that link. That percentage changes from brand to brand but it’s usually between 5% and 10%. This payment comes from the company and doesn’t cost you any extra on your purchases.
Sometimes a link will have a suffix similar to: ‘?link=thepromakeupblog’. This is not an affiliate link. This is something a company will do to track the traffic I send to their site from this blog. This will measure how beneficial a post has been.
