So, I decided I wanted to give back to my fellow bloggers and run a fortnightly interview series. I hope that you enjoy the series and find some amazing new blogs to read.
Our first Interview is with the lovely Sharon AKA Little Painted Lady
Where are you from? I am from Northern Ireland, Derry
Tell us about your blog? My blog is called Little Painted Lady, I started it just over 5 months ago , I wish that I would have started it when I was a bit younger as i have become so hooked,I blog about beauty/lifestyle/crafts and more. I often get asked why I chose that name for my blog, The painted lady part is the name of a butterfly, which I am absolutely obsessed with. The Little part just describes me as i am only 4 ft 11.
What’s your day job? I am a very busy mum of 4 , but between that I am a domestic cleaner. (so exciting haha)
Who is your current beauty or style icon? I have always loved Kat Von D. I Picked Kat Von D as I love alternative, edgy looks and I just think she is an amazingly beautiful, headstrong business women and that’s something I strive to be.
Do you prefer getting dressed up or being casual? I was a real tomboy growing up , but when I hit my twenties I completely changed into a girly girl , so I’m perfectly happy to be dressed up for any occasion .
What’s your staple fashion item? I would have to say for this weather it would be my black polo neck jumper, I can pair it with almost anything and still feel dressed up.
What makeup items can’t you live without and why?
My eyebrow powder….. it is my life at the minute, i was a bit too tweezer happy in the 90’s and unfortunately completely ruined my eyebrows, i find it so hard to regrow them, they are super sparse, my FM Cosmetics powder is the best thing ever.
What’s your favourite thing to do on a lazy morning?
Nothing beats a pajama day with the kiddies, fluffy socks, hair pulled up into a bun, no makeup, family films and nibbles.
What’s your favourite cosmetic brand? My favourite make-up brand at the minute is Revlon , I am all about finding amazing wee budget buys. I came across Revlon’s colourstay foundation a few months back and have yet to find a foundation that I love as much, the staying power is second to none, especially on my trouble zones.
If you had 5 minutes to get ready, what would you wear / what beauty products do you use?
I would choose Jeans, polo neck, nice wee scarf, ankle boots and on my face when i’m in a rush its always Nivea BB cream, dusting of Rimmel stay matte powder, brows (of course), some Stila blush, slick of mascara tiny dab of lip balm and im good to go.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Sharon and a little bit about her blog.
